DESCRIPTION: In this workshop you’ll discover the craft of composition through the art of narrative portraiture.  Visual storytelling through photography, often referred to as narrative photography, is an exceptional medium for capturing the essence of moments, evoking emotions, and engaging viewers.  In this hands-on workshop, you will learn through practice and experimentation the art of visualization, dramatic lighting and composition fundamentals to express the evocative, storytelling potential of your images.  At the workshop’s end you will have stunning photos of our versatile model, Nikki.  And you will leave our seminar trusting your photographic judgement to create expressive photos.

For all those with a solid foundational understanding of exposure and camera controls, seeking to explore a new topic and add to their portfolio.

Equipment

Camera gear to include camera bodies, lenses-50mm to 105mm, laptops if you plan on tethering, batteries & memory cards

Duration: three hours

Q & A post the seminar hours

You will be working with a professional model. You will also be provided with a limited model release for you to use the images you capture during the seminar on your web site or for promotional purposes in your portfolio.
